This painting really and truly is very striking on the wall. The cute cottage farmhouse, tucked into the countryside, with darkness falling all around and trees lining the way. Padraig’s work is so evocative; the simplest of subject matters, is painted with such depth and feeling that it forces the viewer to stand there and fill in the gaps somehow- deciding on what the narrative around the painting might be.
