Once a much more familiar sight across the West of Ireland, the rusty, red roof that we know so well as part of the rural vernacular, now a trickier thing to try to recreate in real life without being specifically sourced, so when we see the genuine aged roof being preserved on cottages and little stone outhouses, it can be a truly beautiful sight; indeed a rather nostalgic one for many.  Of course, a cottage with a view of the Atlantic is the most exciting kind….
