Artists Statement:
“The Boat house is one of the most iconic and loved architectural structures in Kilkee. Its charming simplicity can be a challenge to interpret visually. As Georges head is my preferred Kilkee cliff walk, I pass the back of the boat house regularly. I have spent some time looking here with the hope to find an angle that works aesthetically with this subject. My focus at the time was to capture the Boat house. I was surprised when I realised the unique horse shoe sweep of the beach, would be the key to making the composition of this drawing work. It is a delight when my artistic concerns enable me to see what is very familiar from another perspective”.
