Bridges Of Ross

One of our all time favourite places, the Bridges of Ross, on the Loop Head Peninsula, Co. Clare, is not just  a beautiful, scenic and serene place to visit, but is also a geological phenomenon. It consists of a sea arch (or geological fold to be specific) and many other amazing geological specimens, some of which are the best in the world, and includes a long walk when the tide is out, across sea pools and sheets of flat rock. This painting by David Coyne, in oils on board with palette knife, gives a beautiful view of the end of that walk. A spot that many of us will be very fondly familiar with. We also love the sea in this painting. A beautiful piece of original art by a superb artist.
