Oh my word – we have fallen head over heels in love.
This piece, ‘The Inquisitive Hare’, which is part of an edition of steel hares created by sculptor, Donnacha Cahill, is an adorable, quirky and fun piece of art (and is captured so beautifully here in our photoshoot). This sculpture –  at approx 28″ high – makes an instant impact wherever it is placed – and immediately makes you smile; perfectly hitting that spot where art and fun combine. Although clearly whimsical in subject matter, the piece is a strong and impactful sculpture; in form, materials (in this case, welded steel) and in colour.  Donnacha’s pieces aim to spark the imagination and create conversation. The inquisitive hare certainly does that!  This would be a superb talking piece to have indoors; perhaps in a contemporary space, looking to the outside world.
It could also be a magnificent outdoor piece; though bearing in mind, it is crafted in steel.
