Artist Statement. “My work begins with drawing. I document the world around me in my sketchbooks. These visual diaries then inspire larger mixed media paintings and drawings. My work is rooted in an experience of a time and place. The layers of forms, colours and lines suggest a hidden history. Beauty is subjective and can be found in everyday things. I am fascinated by the power of art to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary”. Aideen
