Fiona Power

Having graduated in Fine Art from the Atlantic Technological University Sligo in 1988, Fiona now
paints from her studio in Durrus, West Cork, overlooking Dunmanus Bay.

Inspired by her immediate surroundings, Fiona paints landscapes and seascapes in the changing
light, which can be seen particularly in her treatments of morning and evening scenes. Fiona is
interested in the fleeting moment of a particular place and time and conveying that emotion to the
viewer.

Fiona has been awarded artistic residencies in Ireland, France and Portugal and exhibits widely
throughout Ireland, including both the RHA and RUA annual exhibitions. She has also exhibited
widely internationally and is currently preparing a solo exhibition ‘Coast to Coast/Costa à Costa’ in
Monsaraz, Portugal in 2023.
