Oonagh O’ Toole

From Dublin, Oonagh studied graphic design at the National College of Art and Design and worked as a designer before focusing on painting and art education. 

Oonagh says “I love paint, colours, tones and noticing the beauty and drama in the details of ordinary scenes and objects. Through still lifes, portraiture and cityscapes I look at the colours and light of the everyday- shadows cast by a chimney when the sun is bright after a rain shower, the light falling on an apple reflected in a stainless steel teapot or the transient bloom of a summer flower”. 

Oonagh has exhibited with private galleries in Ireland, has exhibited work at the RHA annual open exhibition and partook in the Arts Festival Westport.
