Tanya Elliott Nyegaard was born in Copenhagen in 1965 of an Irish mother and Danish father. She came to Ireland as a small child and continues to live here. She is a ‘sculpture graduate’ of LCAD – who went to work in the studio of renowned sculptural ceramicist Tue Poulsen in 1987. She went on to work in, and then run the Dublin Art Foundry, with John Gannon and Leslie Manning since 1987. In running the Dublin Art Foundry, Tanya has worked with many of Ireland’s finest artists over the years. She has exhibited across Ireland including in the RHA, and has also exhibited in London. Tanya’s work hangs in both private and public collections, including public art installations. Private collections have included those of Christy Moore, Pat Kenny, Dermot Desmond Anne Doyle, Garret Fitzgerald and many more.
