Known for her love and appreciation of her surroundings, textile artist, mixed media artist, author and photographer, Kim Thittichai, takes time out from her studio to capture the incredible sunsets, sunrises and wild seas that are visible and ever changing from her home on the Loop Head Peninsula. The fabulous, rich, colours make for wonderful inspiration for the beautifully striking pieces of original work she produces back in the studio.

‘At the end of the day’ is an immediately striking nod to one of the extraordinary sunsets and golden hours we are treated to in the West of Ireland.

Using recycled papers, acrylic paint and fusible web and protected by several layers of acrylic wax, Thittichai manages to achieve the colours, forms and shapes that bring her life to work. Her process is a culmination of everything she has taught and developed over the past 30 years teaching from the UK to Australia and New Zealand.
