This gorgeous original acrylic by Ruth Wood, depicts a gorgeous view across the land, of the familiar sight of Blackberries and Bullrushes along the roadside in Miltown Malbay, West Clare.

Ruth Wood is one of Clare’s most established and celebrated artists. Although very well known for her striking pen, ink and watercolour paintings of buildings and landscapes around Clare and Limerick, Ruth is also much sought after for her original acrylics on canvas.

Her love of the West of Ireland, and in particular, the many examples of lush meadows, wildflowers and heritage  sights, all around her in West Clare, form much of the inspiration for her work and indeed can truly be seen in her latest collection to the gallery.
