In the artists own words: “The Boat house today is still central to the social and boating activities at the East End, Kilkee. Fronting the slipway, it is here that swimmers meet for their daily dips. Many boats, both fishing and leisure boats are moored from here during the summer months. The boats clustered around the Boathouse create a pleasant tableau to draw from”.
