The large sea stack off the edge of Loop Head, is called Sampson’s Island (named after one of the original lighthouse keepers) and is home to many gorgeous sea bird colonies. Side by Side with the headland, its a gorgeous viewing point on your walk around this famous and gloriously beautiful headland.  This aerial vantage point takes in the sprawling headland, and this artist is not only wonderfully competent but is famous for his striking colour palettes and striking depictions.
