‘Chequered’ is a  gorgeous, strikingly coloured, still life of a gathering of kitchen crockery and utensils – perhaps in preparation for a summer breakfast. The bright orange coffee pot, yellow creamer jug, cute chequered plate, ladle and jam pot, are all expertly painted, with light bouncing off the various surfaces. A stunning still life that wouldn’t be out of place in a study, living area or contemporary kitchen perhaps.
