We are head over heels in love with this painting. A striking oil on canvas of a happy jackdaw, watching the world go by. Happy Jack – a wonderfully striking painting, by the talented Kaye Maahs. The dark feathers of the jackdaw are highlighted beautifully against the light pink background. A smaller member of the crow family, the jackdaw is a familiar sight (and sound!) across Ireland and Britain. The like to travel in pairs and love to forage in the fields and ditches for food.
