PRICE
€1,200.00
24″(61cm) x 31.5″(80cm) – Portrait orientation –
One of Kilbaha Village’s, most famous native sons, Henry Blake, or Aonraoí de Bláca, was one of the areas last native Irish speakers and indeed was renowned for his storytelling, dancing and beautiful wood carvings. Blind from a young age, this image of him, walking tall and straight, tapping his cane throughout the village of Kilbaha was exactly how most locals remember him. This painting would be of interest to those with a love of the area and also a love of history and the Irish language.
Una Heaton is one of Limerick’s more well-known artists and personalities. Her love of Kilkee and the Loop Head Peninsula in general, as well as her love of many beautiful places along Ireland’s West Coast, is obvious throughout her back catalogue of work. Painted in the artists bright and electric signature style, this is a colourful and beautiful piece to own.
