This piece, ‘The Inquisitive Hare’ (Small, Brown) is part of an edition of bronze hares created by sculptor, Donnacha Cahill, and is such an adorable, quirky and fun piece of art (captured so beautifully here in our photoshoot). This sculpture –  at approx 16″ high including its stone base – makes an instant impact wherever it is placed; immediately making you smile and perfectly hitting that sweet spot where professional art and fun combine. WE LOVE THIS SO MUCH.

Although clearly whimsical in subject matter, the piece is a very strong and impactful sculpture, in form and in colour.  Donnacha’s pieces aim to spark the imagination and create conversation and ‘The inquisitive Hare’ certainly does that! This particular hare is patinated expertly in a beautiful bright blue and with shiny polished bronze ears and tail etc as the most adorable highlighting.

This would be a superb talking piece to have indoors; perhaps on the windowsill looking to the outside world.

Donnacha’s work sells here at home and also internationally – he has exhibited in places such as Galway’s Volvo Ocean Race and Electric Picnic – most recently in Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival 2022 – and is fast becoming a must-have in terms of collectability.
