A beautiful and rather haunting depiction in oils by artist Claire McMahon, of the sun setting across the famous horseshoe bay in Kilkee, West Clare. Sitting almost perfectly between the famous Georges Head in the East, and the Pollock Holes in the West, the reflection of the setting sun, weaves its way so beautifully across both the sky and the ocean.

Claire is a superb contemporary artist, who, herself, is part of the fabric of the beautiful West Clare seaside town of Kilkee, and understands more than anyone, how moments in time, captured forever in oils, can be incredibly meaningful and important.
Inspired by her surroundings, Claire is a painter, a sculptor and indeed loves to experiment with mixed media. She has exhibited in both Ireland and the UK and indeed has work hanging in private collections internationally.
