‘Kilkee Bay’ is part of the latest brand new collection of Bairbre Duggan’s to arrive to the gallery. Although a native of Dublin, and living currently in Amsterdam where she lectures in fine art, Bairbre and her family, and that of her family before her, have a long standing love affair with the town of Kilkee, on Ireland’s West Coast of Clare. Like it does for so many, the town evokes many special memories for Bairbre.

Bairbre is an accomplished artist, whose work has been shortlisted for the Dutch Portraiture Prize and regularly chosen to appear in the RHA annual exhibitions. Lecturing in fine art in Amsterdam, her skilful figurative paintings and her still life works are hanging in private collections around the world.

Bairbre is certainly an artist to keep a very close eye on.
