Known for her love and appreciation of her surroundings, textile artist, mixed media artist, author and photographer, Kim Thittichai, brings the Loop Head Peninsula into much of her work. ‘Milking Time’ is the beautiful view of neighbouring cows that graced her twice daily throughout the year. In particular, this is the late evening walk to the parlour – and delighted Kim to see.

Using recycled papers, acrylic paint and fusible web and protected by several layers of acrylic wax, Thittichai manages to achieve the colours, forms and shapes that bring her life to work. Her process is a culmination of everything she has taught and developed over the past 30 years teaching from the UK to Australia and New Zealand.
