The hedgerows and ditches have been a glorious sea of orange over the past two months. The montbretia is such an uplifting sight, among the most prolific of the wildflowers.  This painting is a truly gorgeous depiction in oils, of a burst of beautiful montbretia flowers, by contemporary artist Oonagh O’ Toole.
