Gillian Murphy will always say that her time spent in the North Clare surrounds of the Burren and Ballyvaughan and indeed in the gorgeous Galway coastal village of Kinvara itself, where she has a studio, is from where her inspiration is primarily drawn. The moody, misty landscapes, the watery seascapes, the bog-lands, the melding of natures rustic colours all come together to form a beautiful contemporary style that is very recognisable and identifiable. Gillian’s larger pieces work incredibly well on big contemporary spaces but these smaller (miniature) originals are stunning and are the perfect size for a book shelf or sideboard. In fact, they are also a wonderful size and price point to gift someone a piece of original art.
