In ‘One Peeking Out’, Marshall’s depiction of the glass kilner jar is nothing short of exquisite, with the light shining through it, is so beautifully and delicately handled – particularly the raised writing on the glass. The lemons are so true to life, you do feel as though you could reach in and pick one out. Diana mentioned that the cheeky one peeking out, quite possibly went into a nice gin and tonic towards the end of this painting. Beautifully professionally framed, this piece would look SUPERB in a contemporary kitchen space or dining room.
