Living here on the Loop Head Peninsula, we are quite literally surrounded by sea. The work of contemporary artist, Fiona ní Chuinn, truly sums up the drama, the movement and the power of the waves along this magical stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way.

Fiona pours her soul into each and every piece. She believes that each piece of art should resonate rather personally with their viewers – representing a place or a moment in time that is different and personal to everyone, for their own reasons

Her work is captivating. Somehow, the vigour and power in these ocean scenes, which contain so much movement and drama and large crashing waves, also, seem to paradoxically bring a sense of calm to a space. The meditative sense of being near the ocean!
