In the photographers words.. “..Taken on a beautiful misty day in the Burren region, more specifically in a Turlough ( a seasonal lake ) located in Carran, County Clare.
I was photographing my original subject in the rain when his two horses came up to greet us. As you can see, they quickly became my focus. The environment here was a really unique mix of karst ( limestone ) ground, extensive natural woods ( from intimate hazel to towering ash) and one of the largest Turloughs in Europe. A very special, serene part of the world…”
