‘Standing Still’, by fine art photographer, Rosie Prendiville.
In the photographers words, “…The Farm where I took this, is known as Glencarn Farm. The entire farm is part of an SAC, Special Area of Conservation. It is one of the oldest organic farms in Ireland. They farm an angus suckler herd in the traditional Burren method. Cows go up onto the rocky hills for the winter and even calve up there in the spring. Once growth truly starts again, they come back down to enjoy the bountiful offerings of the lowlands. It boasts extensive natural woods from intimate hazel to towering ash. There is both gloriously rich and depressingly barren winterage, aka the stoney desert. There is an incredibly vast array of flora and fauna. Including protected species of both, such as the Marsh Fritillary which is an endangered butterfly. So much archaeology that you can barely move for tripping over some many thousand-year-old structure, and much more. The Turlough is known as Carron Turlough. A turlough is essentially a seasonal lake that floods in the winter and provides the best grazing for the summer.”

Fine art photographer, Rosie Prendiville, has launched and released this truly beautiful, limited collection of images from her catalogue of work.
Nature has created the perfect backdrop for Rosie’s creative expression – but it is her expert handling of the shot that takes it from a photo to a masterpiece. Rosie’s work is emotionally moving. Her style embodies an ethereal feel; light and beautiful and artistically inspiring.
Fine art photography is an artistic approach, where the relationship between the subject, the light, the lens, and the photographer is intimate and creative; representing the atmosphere, the feeling and ultimately, the photographers creative vision. Across all of her photography work, whether it is these fine art pieces, or her commercial work, from product shots to a growing back catalogue of portraiture photography, including weddings and family shoots, (and some rather high profile names), Rosie’s extraordinary eye and artistic flair, are evident throughout.
