Much like all piers and roads along the West Coast of Ireland, Doolin Pier, in North Clare, has seen its fair share of wild tides in recent years. During Storm Emma, it literally came in and out of visibility as it withstood the battering of high, crashing waves; a scary but somehow exhilarating sight – beautifully painted here in oils on paper by the uber talented Kaye Maahs.

Having exhibited at many prestigious shows, including the Royal Academy in London and the RHA Annual Exhibition and won numerous accolades, awards and residencies, Maahs has a growing international client base.
