Sun Shower in West Clare

A painting to get lost in. One of the features of the West Clare landscape that really stands out to Eadaoin Harding Kemp, is the flatness and the clarity of it. Eadaoin feels that this is really emphasised in the moments during and just following a sun shower where landscapes are at their most magical; when you can really feel the freshness and clarity of the air around you – and the flatness of the landscape allows you to see for miles into the horizon. In this painting, the clouds are parting, the blue skies are pushing through, the ground is wet from the rain and the horizon looks enticing and beautiful.
