Inspired by a very real love of animals, this is an uplifting and adorable painting of a friendly donkey that the artist Rebekah van Kan encountered on a trip to Connemara. Calling him ‘The Cutest Mohawk in the West’ she decided to paint him exactly as she remembered him, on that beautiful summers days with the backdrop of glorious blue skies.

Rebekah has an extensive and loyal client list and we are thrilled to have some of her striking pieces. Although these pieces are actually oil on a specially primed paper, they are fused to a board using archival techniques so that each piece is future proofed to behave rather like canvas.
