Oh this is one of our current gallery favourites. At a rather large 41 inches square (yes that’s over a metre squared!) this incredible painting is a combination of mixed media and acrylics.  ‘Turlough’ is enhanced in JUST the perfect smattering of places by a layering of sand and other dust like materials across the lower half of the painting – which gives an incredible sense of depth and texture to the painting. Have a closer look in our images here, to truly get a sense of this.
This is Gillian’s forte – this kind of masterful approach to colour and mood and space and beauty and nature all wrapped up in one beautiful piece of work. This piece would need a rather large space and would actually stop people in their tracks it’s that good.
