A piece inspired by an Icelandic trip, this oil on canvas painting by artist Kaye Maahs, is truly beautiful.

Under the Clouds (Hekla) is a superb original work that really showcases this artists immense talent. Not only does she beautifully and delicately capture this snow-capped mountain scene (Mount Hekla; the site of an active volcano) but her handling of colour here is superb.

This extraordinarily competent and self-assured artist, has produced a stunning collection of works based around her Icelandic trip as well as many other pieces inspired by her beloved Irish surroundings.  A magnificently collectable artist, whose name has been pinpointed as ‘one to watch’ on many an occasion and whose star continues to rise.

Kaye has won awards and bursaries and exhibited both nationally and internationally. She continues to be chosen to partake in the RHA’s annual exhibition, and this year won the Alex Bradley Award from the RHA show. She was also recently selected to show at the Royal Academy’s summer exhibition in London 2024 and now has work hanging in private collections around the world.
